Description
From the outside, the agate looks quite inconspicuous. But inside, the wonder world of the semi-precious stone opens up. After cutting and grinding, the different coloured ribbons come to light. Already in ancient Egypt, jewellery and vessels were made of agate, which is a variety of the mineral quartz. At the beginning of the 19th Century it was discovered how the character can be changed by burning and colouring.
