Description
Mural with large graphic flower
The abstract design of the stylised flower was created in 1905. Art Deco influences are clearly visible. This artistic mural from the house of Hohenberger stimulates your living imagination.
Samuel Jessurun de Mesquita (1868-1944) perfectly mastered the reduction to the essential, the high-contrast play between line, surface and empty space. His depictions of flora and fauna, which he realised with the ancient technique of woodcut, are full of life, also wit and irony.
Versatile in his talents, he designed decorative fabrics such as curtains, upholstery fabrics and tablecloths, taught as a teacher of arts and crafts, and designed covers for the architecture and art magazine Wendingen. Mesquita mastered all varieties of artistic representation from watercolour to lithography.
A Statement for Modern Design of the 20th Century
The Gräflich Münster'sche Manufaktur has turned it into a decorative mural measuring 2.70 x 4.20 metres. Clear markings ensure the seamless transition of the 6 panels. The application is quick and easy. The motif can be combined well with beige wallpapers from the Hohenberger Wallcoverings range.
With this mural in a delicate colour combination, we bow to the great artist and designer. The material used is healthy to live with and impresses with its exceptionally high quality and durability.
